Bajaj Pulsar NS160 6000km riding experiences review by ASM Asif
My name is ASM Asif, I shared my experience with my Bajaj Pulsar NS160 on MotorcycleValley. I have chosen this bike for its outstanding look and style. There is hardly any naked bike in the Bangladeshi market like this one same time; this one is the product of Bajaj. By considering these all I made my decision to have Bajaj Pulsar. Currently my running meter with my Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is almost 6000 kilometers. Today I am to compare the performance of my motorcycle which I had in the first stage and I am having right now.
At first it is good to start with the matter of design. When to talk about the design of this motorcycle, this one has Extra ordinary naked sport design, Excellent color combination and same time, Attractive look which easily can attract a bike lover to it. As in my eyes this one has the most attractive design in among the bikes of this segment. On the other hand, when to talk about the build of my motorcycle, then I must have to declare that I am feeling excellent build quality on my motorcycle. It’s been 9 months since I am using this one and by the Mercy of Allah, I hardly can sense any parts of my motorcycle is weak. Before this one I was used to with Bajaj Pulsar UG4 and with the compare with that one, current one is far better on the matter of Design and Build quality.
Engine is the key part of a motorcycle. If there is everything is ok of a motorcycle but Engine has fault then there is no value of that motorcycle but you have to remember that the bike I am using right now is by Bajaj so that it can be said undoubtly that its Engine performance will be perfect and I having the flawless engine performance so far. At first I felt weal performance from the engine but as the time flows, Engine performance becoming smother and smother. I hope that the engine will be smothering in future and this will make my way easier.
Riders seating position is more than comfortable but not equally comfortable for the pillion. I have noticed this matter clearly that whenever I go on long tour, pillion cannot hold his/her patient on the seating position but the rider hardly feels any problem whatever the time period of riding. I am comfortable nicely with the seating position from the beginning on the other hand; handlebar is finely adjusted with the seating position which always let me feel the exact comfort of riding a motorcycle. In a word, I am satisfied completely with the comfort features of my motorcycle.
As to talk about the electrical features of my motorcycle, then I have to say that, the switches on the handlebar are completely exceptional from the others bike why because those are lightening and this make me easy to find those while riding in night. Same time, Meter console is just mind blowing when my eyes over it. But one matter makes me feel bad and it is the Headlamps light of my motorcycle which is not up to the mark to have the exact view while riding my motorcycle in night and I am feeling this problem from starting.
There is no doubt on the matter of control of my bike why because I am having the exact control over my motorcycle from the starting. As to talk about the top speed? I have picked up the top speed of 119 kilometers per hour with pillion on my back. One thing makes me feel sorry that when my motorcycle is in high RPM, I felt lite vibration on my bike but no problem when I am on normal RPM.
Braking system is just awesome. This one has drum brake in rear wheel and disc brake in the front wheel and this combination never put me in tension wherever I am and whatever the road condition is. This braking system is just up to the mark to have the proper control over this motorcycle I think. I am having the exact braking and control over my motorcycle from the beginning.
On the other hand, its suspensions are comfortable for the rider but not so actually for the pillion why because, pillion often feel discomfort while riding my motorcycle on the unmetalled road condition. Ignoring this matter, suspension is perfect enough.
Many of the NS users often complain on the matter of thickness of the tyres but I will declare that although the tyres are thin but I never feel anything like that I am losing control due to the thin tyres. But it is true that there is a problem while cornering and this is only because of less widening of the tyres. Same time, this motorcycle has perimeter frame and for this reason I can’t sense any skidding even with thin tyres. Considering over all, tyres performance are up to the mark and those are not decayed so far as it should be.
I am little bit worry with the matter of mileage why because currently I am having the mileage of 42-43 kilometers per liter on the highway and when riding in city, I am having 36 – 38 kilometers per liter which is just less then I had at the beginning in my view.
I served my motorcycle from Bajaj Collection located in Mohammadpur. Their working quality and environment is nice enough to say.
Comment on the price of my motorcycle? I think its price is exacted according its features and performance.
I personally think that a bikes performance depend on the care of the owner and rider. if you care well of your bike then it will serve you equally and if you don’t then you can easily understand what can happen to your bike. my advice to you will be in the positive way to have this one.
