With motorcycle it is possible to go here and there at any time and my nature is also just like same, it is my habit to go anywhere at any time. That’s why motorcycle has become a part of my life. I had tried my best to collect the best bike according to the time. According to this in my collection I have added Bajaj Pulsar NS160cc.

I have purchased this bike on the last week of September, 2018 and the color of this bike is gray. I have ride almost 12000km till this July 15. I have come in front of you to share my experience, I’m Amin Hossain Riku and I’m journalist of Doinik Jagaran(www.jagaranbd.com).

First of all I want to say, Before NS160 I had use Suzuki Gixxer Dual Tone Double Disc (2017 model) which I had sold because of extreme technical problem. On this subject a review of mine has published on motorcycle valley. After selling my Gixxer I become very disappointed. I become very confused on the subject of choosing my next bike. After analyzing a lot I have purchased NS160. But I didn’t have positive review form others about this except the NS users. You can say that I have purchased this bike almost on the base of my own decision. The reason behind choosing NS is, first of all oil cooled engine, and secondly strong build quality, third perimeter frame chassis and fourth throttle response.

I have got a new experience after riding NS 12000km. NS 160 has successfully removed all of those disappointment which has gathered for Gixxer. The performance of NS160 impress me on both in the city and also on the highway.

After purchasing this bike I have successfully completed my brake in period on 2000km. After that again I rise my touring spirit. My last tour was Sitakunda Kumira Bridge with Gixxer. After many days I have visited cox’s Bazar with NS. I like nonstop and solo tour. I also reached cox’s bazar alone and almost non-stop. During this tour NS had provide some extra feelings to me. Among them engine performance was major one. When I return from Cox’s bazar it provide same power which I got when I started my journey from Dhaka. It never drop the power and it happened because of the oil cooled system. That’s way it was on the top of my favorite list according to my budget.

After Cox’s Bazar I have successfully completed my tour to my own town BhramanBaria, Kishorgang Mendipur Hawor, Chittagong, Sitakunda, Rajshahi and Natore. Every ride become more enjoyable because of NS160. Overtaking, high speeding, mileage and comfort every experience was positive.
Because of my job I also roam here and there in Dhaka. Till now I’m very much satisfied. On the highway I’m getting 42-45kmpl with octane on the highway and in Dhaka I’m getting 35-37kmpl with octane. Mileage has reduced to 28-32 if I do high rev all time.

Because of the up ride handle position it is very comfortable to ride in the tunnels of the city and also in the traffic jam. Under belly exhaust pipe also support well in this matter.

The color, spare parts quality, stoke headlight, speed meter, parking light, back light, headlight shape everything seems good to me of this bike. But the indicator light should be LED.

I must mention about the throttle response of this bike. When I give throttle I feel that I’m very powerful and no one can dominate me, it doesn’t matter how long the path will be. Front telescopic and rare nitrox gas mono suspension is very developed. I have ride on many rough roads and frankly speaking I didn’t feel that much jerk. But it would be better if the telescopic suspension become wider.

The front disc brake of this bike supports greatly and I don’t have any complain about it. Though it has drum brake in the rare wheel but I’m very much impressed with the performance of this brake. Sometimes I feel I’m riding a rare disc bike. Because of this subject and also because of the support of the tyres it is very easy to control this bike. Till now I don’t face any skid problem but it is little more risky to brake hard on high speed. The major reason behind this is, rare tyre of 110 section. If it became 130 then I had not a single complain.

Perimeter frame chassis gives NS160 a very strong structure. But it is also become very hard to service it. In order to change the air filter or to change the acceleration cable and other simple service it need to open the fuel tank which is really disturbing and also take a lot of time. It also increase the service cost. It is very hard to clean or change twin spark plague because it needs to open the bumpers of both side.

I had picked up 125kmph speed during Cox’s Bazar tour. It was possible to increase the speed but because of there was a bus so I didn’t take risk. In the middle of 60-80km and also after 100km I feel little vibration on the foot rest. Though after few seconds it become vanish.

I think the battery quality of this bike is not strong. From the beginning it has AHO system but after one week I face problem in the battery. After that I cancelled AHO system. After that the situation become better. But in order to perfect the battery I spent a lot of time.
During this 12000km I have changed front disc pad once, front chain sprocket once and air filter once. I had used 20w50 mineral engine oil on first 5000km after that I start using Repsol 10w50 and still continue it. And because of this I’m getting satisfying performance.


I’m very much disappointed with the service. Though Uttara motors provide a large number of service center in Dhaka city but the performance of the worker really disappointed me. They don’t work perfectly and I find lack of attention in them. From a service center I take a pain service and they use unusual brake pad which really make me angry. I don’t think Uttara Motors doesn’t monitor their service centers. The worker has a huge lake of knowledge on NS160. There is a lake of good service man. They don’t understand the work well especially in the case of taped adjustment, valve clearance, carburetor tuning etc. There is a especial reason behind it and that is the Perimeter frame chassis. It get low space in the inside as a result it become hard to open the head of the engine, adjust the taped and also clear the valve.

The bumper of this bike seems very weak to me. The height of the rider should be more than 5 feet 6 inch to ride NS. It is really a bad side.

The price of the parts of this bike is reasonable but hard to get. From a product of Bajaj it is really unexpected.

There is a radiator for oil cooling and the front side of this radiator is totally open they should give a cover on it. During wash I need to focus on that. It also catches dust.

Over all I’m very much satisfied with NS160.

Stay safe, use certified and full face helmet and also install developed security system in your bike.
