Lifan KPR 165R user review by Farhad Pasha
Nowadays Lifan motorcycles are one of the most popular bikes name in Bangladeshi market. Especially these bikes took a vast place in the youth’s heart. One of the biggest reasons behind getting popular to the youth is Lifan KPR. Within no time this motorcycle gets popular. As a biker I also like sports category motorcycles as well. From eight years back I have learned biking using a Walton motorcycle. From then I have never stopped bike riding. Whenever I got time I went out for biking with my friends. I always use a family bike so literally I didn’t have my own bike so I thought I must have my own. From the very begging of the arrival of Lifan KPR in our country I was watching this bike and I used to read review of this model in online portals. Few days back I heard that 165 cc model of Lifan KPR is about to arrive in Bangladesh so I waited and after the arrival I just took this baby home.
I am Farhad Pasha and I am from Feni. Luckily I am the first owner of Lifan KPR 165 model in Feni. As far I know no one bought this bike before I did. I am using this bike for few days (300 KM) and after using this bike I thought I must share few words about this bike to others. Because of the invitation of team motorcycle valley I am having this chance and today I am going to share few riding experience with my bike.
I mainly bought this bike because of the design and outlooks. After watching the design for the first glance I made my mind to have Lifan KPR 165. Excellent color combination, stylish graphics, muscular body kits and all the belongings of the outlooks made me satisfied. And most importantly when I park this bike at any place people watch it with interest.
Within this kind of budget I will say that I have got better build quality. Body kits and other body parts are very strong and I never feel any bad noise from them while ridding at the off roads. Once this bike was fallen from me but no big occurrence took place with the looks or other sides. I and my bike both were safe and sound.
This bike holds powerful 165cc fuel injection engine which can easily produce good torque and power. Throttle response of this engine is also very perfect to me. Though at the begging the gear shifting was harder but after adjusting the clutch plate that problem was solved. Without that no annoying sound or over heating is not found from this engine. So I have no complaints with the engine till now and I am satisfied as well.
Seating on this bike and while riding I feel great comfort at this bike. I like the sports category seating position of this bike very much and I enjoy my rides seating on it. Combination of the handlebar and the seating position is also very perfect and for that reason I never feel tired or back pain problem even after a long ride. Most importantly this bike offers me the same performance I need to ride with comfort so I am happy with it.
I must say one thing and that is the headlamp of this bike is a VIP type. I have got excellent light at the dark night roads and I can see all the things clearly like the day light. Because this bike holds projection headlamp so I never have to worry about the light of this headlamp. Without that the other electrical materials are also very helpful and I am getting good performance from them, no doubt.
This bike contains double disc braking and their response is satisfactory. Though I get better performance from the front braking but both brakes are upgraded and offers excellent performance.
Talking about the suspensions this bike contains telescopic fork suspensions at the front and Mono shock at the rear side and I am getting better performance from the front one. Rear suspension is little bit harder and for that reason it is not giving me the expected performance till now and I feel shaking because of it at the bad road conditions.
Though this bike is still in break in period but I have tested the top speed and it has given me 104 KM/H speed, so I am happy with it because after getting little bit older this speed will surly increase.
I am not satisfied with this side of this bike because I think the manufacturing company didn’t pay attention to this side. They remain the tyres the same as like the 150 model which is 120 but they said that this bike will have 130 tyres but they didn’t keep their words. But the tyre response is good but and I can have good balance using it, though it could be better if this bike has wider tyres.
At present I am getting 35-40 KM/L mileage and my bike is 300 kilometers old so I will get more mileage I guess. But I must say one thing because this bike holds FI engine so the mileage should be more at present conditions.
In Feni there is no authorized servicing center of Lifan bikes but the initiative of Russel industries are very impressive because whenever I need to fix my bike they prove a technician. But I am asking for a fixed problem solving place from Russel industries.
I will definitely say that this bike contains a reasonable price for the buyers. You can have the same feelings like the other high price premium sports bikes in this bike within TK 200000. I have no complains or demands because they are offering excellent features within budget friendly price.
So this is the end of my story, if I have to mention few bad sides of this bike then I have to say it could be better if this bike holds 130 tyres and if there is a fixed service center in my city, nothing else for now.
