TVS Apache RTR 160 short ride review by Haider Ali

To maintain my business and to commute easily I have used “Bajaj CT100” for a long time. I have spend a long time with the “Bajaj CT 100” and at a point I come a decision that I should switch to something else which will be better then this one. My home is in a remote place where it is hardly see any well known brand, some people use “TVS Apache RTR 150” and I have ridden many of them and later heard the news that “Apache RTR 160” is about come in the market. I waited for a while and purchased that one when I found “Apache RTR 160” in the market. The design of Apache RTR150 was very favorite one to me but not 160cc. Today I am to share my experience and my journey with my “TVS Apache RTR 160” through “MotorcycleValley” and I hope this will be helpful in a positive way to those who are seriously interested to have or purchase this one.



Design and Structure
Its design is just excellent one to me. This one has a good enough muscular look but one thing is very negative and make me feel bad, it is the matter of design which is same in both the 150cc and the 160cc. This is very normal to expect little different in those. Ignoring the matter of design, its build quality is very much strong according to my view by which I gain the confident to ride ignoring the matter of road condition.

Seating position and handlebar
Seating position and the handlebar is very nice and comfortable, I feel the pleasure to ride this one by holding the handlebar from the seating position. At the same time, switches on the handlebar performs without any irritation.

Headlamp
Headlamps light is sharp enough to have the clear view of the front and the light of the headlight is pretty much powerful.

Top speed
I have picked up the top speed of 90 kilometer per hour and can't sense any vibration in the top speed. As I am riding this one in the brake in period and that is why I don't try to pick up heavy speed.

Braking Suspension and Tyre
Disk brake of the front and drum brake in the rear wheel ensures me the perfect braking. As I have to ride mostly in the rural places but I hardly feel any shake of the rough road because of good performance of the suspensions. Tyres grip are so good that I can ride it without any negative thought and those serve me good control and balance.



Mileage and Engines performance
I am quite negative on the matter of mileage as because the mileage of this bike is not up to the mark. Currently I am having 35-40 kilometer per liter mileage and this is often a matter of big problem for some occasion. I hope mileage will be increase after break-in period. But the engines performance is so good and same time, it is pretty much powerful as well. I can pick up heavy speed very quickly.

Service
Service of the servicing center is very good. They are very much cordial and gentle to their customers and same time, they are willing to solve the problem of the customers as soon as possible. I serve my bike from “Shakura Enterprise” of Rajshahi.

Good sides
- Engine performance is good
- Comfortable to ride

Negative sides
- Both 150cc and 160cc looks alike.


According to the quality, performance and features of “TVS Apache RTR 160” its market price is just fine and clean to me. I think that its price is fair and reasonable enough as a 160cc bike. Those who are thinking to purchase this one for personal use, for them my advice will be in the positive way to have this one if you can ignore some trifling matter. This one is one of my favorite one.

My advice to the company
There no difference between 150 and 160 even in side by side and from this point of view, I think company should think about this matter to change the design. If you people can take care the matter of mileage then it will be a positive sign to gain the hearts of the Apache users.
