Suzuki Gixxer 150 Motorbike Ownership Review by Mustafizur Rahman Sozib
From my childhood I saw my father and brother riding motorcycles and I was so passionate about it. When I was at high school I learned riding motorcycle and after I passed my higher secondary exams my father bought me a new motorcycle named FZS which I used to think of. After one or two years a new motorcycle from Suzuki was launched and I became attracted to that bike which is named Suzuki Gixxer. Both these bikes have many similarities and that was the main reason of my attraction. After few days I bought that motorcycle and for one year I am riding this motorcycle. Now from bellow the lines I will share my one year experience about this motorcycle.

Controlling and Handling experience: Controlling and handling of this motorcycle is very easy at good speed and also in normal condition in my thoughts. Because this bike is much heavier than the other 150cc motorcycles that’s why controlling of this bike is very smooth. Generally I used this motorcycle for traveling in city roads and in my personal experience this motorcycle is easy to control for its sporty design. Turning at the curve roads with this bike is very comfortable because of its small size and good road grip. I have travelled only one long journey with this bike and my experience was not bad at all.
Performance of the Engine: Every kind of motorcycle user knows that Suzuki motorcycles contains good engine and with this bike this company has kept their reputation like the past. This motorcycle is assembled with 154cc Single Cylinder, Air cooling Four Strokes SOHC engine. This engine can produce high quality max power of 14.8 PS @ 8000 rpm and torque of 14 N m @ 6000 rpm and because of this type of power and torque riders can have greater performance without any doubt. I am using this motorcycle for past one year in my own experience I have got better-quality performance with this bike than the other bikes I have ride. Other parts and internal thing of the engine are also made well by Suzuki and in my own knowledge I can say that.
Speed and mileage I get from by bike: I am totally satisfied with the top speed of this bike. From the very beginning this bike is always best at its top speed. I have ride this motorcycle with other rider pillion and I got top speed of 120 KM/H which really unbelievable. With one rider pillion this bike cam easily exits the speed of 130KM/H top speed without any doubt. This bike doesn’t disappoint me at all the mileage performance of its own. I have got 40 KM/L mileage from the beginning and it is almost the same at present. Sometimes mileage and speed bothered me but after servicing everything remains the same.
Long drive experience: In my experience this bike is able to provide mileage, speed and comfort all three at the long journeys but sometimes bike vibrates much at the top speed during long journey and that time engine needs rest for a while. I have travelled one journey which was about 200 KM and at that time I had to face some difficulties because this bike is made with sports design which is not so comfortable for long journeys. But for the 40-50 Km journey this bike is very suitable.
Braking experience: Braking side of this bike is just awesome and effective. I feel very safe with the braking system of this bike. At the brakes this motorcycle contains Disc brakes at the front and Drum Brakes at rear side. This type of braking is really very effective at different types of situation and I am very satisfied with the performance. This bike also contains good suspensions I have experienced very smooth riding with the help of these suspensions.
Pros:
-0-60 KM speed at 8/10 sec.
- Better-quality performance of the engine.
- Strong enough to carry weight with good speed.
- Very stylish and available with glossy colors.
Cons:
- Not so comfortable at the long distance.
- Tyres are not so large.
So at last I can say I am very much satisfied with the performance of this bike and along with me other riders should be satisfied also when they will use this stylish motorbike. At a glance this motorcycle will be loved by all.
