Lifan KPR 9999Km riding review by Asif Jubayer

Previous bike riding experience: The bike was Apache RTR 150 V2 and it was with me around four years. Reason behind giving the past experience is it will be better to know about my riding skills and comparing with KPR will be easier, because if I say negative words about KPR then people will say I have my own problems with my driving. Whatever let us not waste time, my personal opinion is given bellow.

Mileage: in city roads I am getting 30 KM/L and at the highways I am getting 34 KM/L.

Good sides:
- In one word the outlook is fantastic.
- Braking and controlling are outstanding.
- Based on my short experiences I will say it is perfect for highways.

Though I haven’t tried to speed up my bike on top speed but I have experienced little bit and I think that is really awesome, mind blowing speed. I was not trying to check the top speed normally with 90 KG pillion I have accelerated this bike to 117 KM/H on the fifth gear, another gear and more throttle was unused. However this bike was not smoother at the very beginning but day after day it is getting smoother in its performance.

Bad sides:
This bike is uncomfortable at the city roads, within very short time hands started to pain in traffic jam and if you have a pillion then it is must. At the beginning I have faced back pain but it is now not a big deal, I am fine with it. Though I do not ride at the highways that much but I think this back pain problem is one of the worst one of KPR. If a brick is placed instead of the rear suspension I think that might perform well. Not only the rear one but also the front suspension is also the same.

Most of the KPR users are happy with the mileage but I am not. When I started using this bike I was getting 34 KM/L mileage but now it is 29.5-30 KM/L on regular basis. Five services are done already and no improvement at the mileage even if I have complaints about it. From my Apache RTR I used to have 40 + KM/L mileage even after 30000 kilometer ride and for that I changed my fuel pumps several times to check if that problem goes away but it remains the same.



Things I have replaced or changed or my cost till now: At 600 kilometer the Plug created problem because of the fuel I was using so I fix that problem using the free warranty. When this bike reached 3500 kilometer I have to change the chain rubber and that cost me TK 300. Next I have changed the brake pad at 7500 kilometer. At 5000 kilometer I have changed the coolant as it was instructed. When this bike reached 9700 kilometer I changed the air filter, stock Plug though it wasn’t necessary on that time but I have done because it was instructed. Believe it or not 10000 kilometer is running but these are the only changes or cost I have to bear. I didn’t have to take this bike to a mechanic with these matters. I forget one thing and it was the rear chassis Bush was creating problem at 8000 kilometer and it was fixed from the service center.

Finally I will say this bike is a superb one because of its reasonable price, excellent features and their performance till now. Let us see how far it can go like this.
