TVS XL 100 user review by Sojib

I started riding motorcycle through Zongshen 100cc and I have used that bike for a long time but every thing has a time limit for its charm and beauty same do my Zongshen 100cc. At a specific period of time, I come to a decision to sell my bike and just after selling, it become clear to me that what is the importance of bike in a city life. It is better to mention in the same point that, my Zongshen was very shortly used as because I have pass most of my time in my office and I hardly have any spare time to ride my bike to have some fun from it. This was the actual reason to sell my Zongshen 100cc.



When I have sold my bike, the best experience on the road I have gained that I never had. I can't even reached in the destination due mass travel or through mass travel. Then I come to understand the fact of bike. I think that motorbike is the best vehicle to travel all over the city and same way I made my decision to have an ordinary bike which never going to attract my friends at all.

On this point of view, it is better to uphold a line that many of the heavy weight bike users often feel disturb to hand over their bike for test ride or something and so do I. By thinking all these, I choose TVS XL which will serve me nicely in all over the city and friends or other close people never going to count as a heavy weight bike user. This bike is just a perfect one to ride all over the city ignoring the traffic and others obstacle of the roads although, its look is not so good but perfect general road transport. Today I am here to introduce my 2 months experience with this one.

At first I want to mention that, its look is not so charming but ok for any rider if he/she use it only for general ride. As a low cost bike its design is far better then bicycle. This bike has the shadow of antique bike in the parts of classic looks headlamp, wheels, front foot rest and some in others. This design could be co9mpared with the Honda 50cc. By considering all these parts of the design in this price range, I am pretty happy to have this one.

As to say about the build quality of my bike, there is hardly any use of plastics over it by which I am always tension free on the road. Same time, wherever the plastics used in its body, those are pretty strong in my view.

On the matter of Engine, this bike has the Engine of 100cc which is very much powerful. Engine serve the excellent speed by which I hardly feel any problem to ride my bike even with pillion even on the heavy traffic road. There is no alternative of this short of engine whenever on the busy roads of the city. At first I felt over heat in the engine but now engine is clean enough to stay cool. Same time, Engine can produce exact power with the balance of throttle.

I mostly like this one to ride among the city areas. Why because this one is a perfect to have comfort inside city areas. No problem in the gear shifting, seating position is good and comfortable enough where easy to sit by spreading legs, handlebar is nicely adjusted with the seating position and many more comfort features that is why, I feel pretty comfort to ride this one.

There is hardly any need of light inside the city but no one can deny the necessity of powerful headlight. My bikes headlight is very much sharp to have the clear view of the front. Others electrical features are quite nice to mention as excellent.

Breaking system is in both hands which means, in the handlebar and both the wheels have drum break. I never feel any problem with the breaks why because I merely ride my bike in high speed or stop my bike in all of a sudden.

Suspensions are very much excellent. Any rider can ride this bike even with the pillion with the expected comfort due to the suspensions performance. I don't think company need to upgrade the quality of the suspensions. These are good enough to ride comfortably in all over the city.

Showroom informs me that this bike will serve the mileage of 60 kilometers or so. Currently I am having the mileage of 50 – 52 kilometers per liter inside the city and I think this mileage scale is fine enough to ride in the city. At least I will declare that good mileage is the best alternative of saving CNG rent.

I have visited the servicing center. Service of the servicing center is good enough but they always have stay busy to serve each of the customers and I think this is the main reason by which they can't serve the exact service. Why because there is some problem I am still facing even after serving by servicing center.

According to the price range and considering its key features, I think its quality is just ok and fine. I can travel in the whole city even without waiting for the ricksa or others vehicles. I can ride pretty comfortably with this little bike.

Some of the good features of my tiny cute bike:

- Mileage is good enough
- Excellently interesting while riding
- Powerful engine performance
- Classic look
- Pillion seating position is wide enough to have the exact comfort

Negative sides:

- I feel some problem to start the engine why because I have to hold the break while start the engine. I often forget to hold the break.
