Suzuki Hayate Special Edition 11000km riding experiences by Abudl Jabbar

Riding is my daily need, for my family purpose and for my job purpose I have to travel a lot. I have affection over bikes and I live in village, which is why motorcycle is one of the most suitable vehicle that can provide me better transportation service. Thinking all of those, 6 months back I bought a bike named Suzuki Hayate. I wanted a mileage friendly and well performing bike that can give me better support in long run. 11000 kilometers done within these 6 months and I am not totally happy with this bike. Let me tell you why.

Before I begin with the reason why I am not fully satisfied, let me tell you guys about the good things that I liked.

-Overall this bike is good enough at its own segment. Decent design, with good color combination. Furthermore, it has wider seating position for both rider and pillion, which makes this bike comfortable.

-Engine performance is acceptable, it has good acceleration and powerful enough for long journeys.

-As a standard commuter Hayate has better controlling and balance at the city roads.

Now, I would like to tell you guys about those things, which makes me dissatisfied.

-After crossing the speed of 70 KM/H I lost control over this bike. Very bad vibration, and now balance bothers me a lot when I ride on the highways. It is very obvious that I have to ride in better speed on the highways than the city roads. On that time I felt lack of controlling. In one day I travelled around 220 kilometers with my bike and I was pleased with the low speed performance. But, every time I go for speedy riding it this bike cannot satisfy me.

-I already mentioned earlier that mileage was one of the biggest reason to buy this bike. Company assures this bike will provide good mileage. In my case I am totally dissatisfied. I am getting no more than 40 KM/L mileage, and according to the company it should provide 60+.

On the whole, Suzuki Hayate is a pleasing commuter bike for city travelling. Though I am not sure other users feel the same like me, or not, but I asked a few and they have the same issues. So, I am satisfied with my bike, but the mileage always gives me trouble.
