As far as I am concerned, based on the mileage, design and engine performance Bajaj Discover 125 is one of the best bikes at its own segment. I bought this bike for myself and using it for the last one month. Within this period I haven’t found any bad sides of this bike because I take a good care of it and didn’t ride all the time. I am not telling this because it my bike, if you can take a good care of any bike it will surely provide a long lasting and pleasing performance. In regular basis I check the spark plus, clean up the air filter and do the service when necessary. After the first 300 kilometers I changed the engine oil and decided to change the engine oil after every 1000 kilometers. I didn’t realize the engine performance at the first go but now I can.
I think the suspensions are very efficient and having them I don’t go through that much of shaking while riding. In one word the build quality of this bike is excellent and especially for the digital meter I really like the overall design. Furthermore, body plastics are very high in quality and the riding seat is very comfortable. Last but not the least I am getting terrific mileage from this bike.
- Powerful engine
- Effective braking
- Good contrast between the handle bar and riding seat
- High quality suspensions
- Terrific mileage
- Reasonable price tag
I have already mentioned that I didn’t found any drawbacks of this bike because it is only at 500 kilometers, but if I find any I will let you all know through my next review.
Why this bike?
Foremost reason for having this bike was the mileage, which I already heard from others and as well as the brand value and mileage. Thus, before having this bike all of these were my concern.
City mileage: 50 KM/L
Highway mileage: 60 KM/L
If I say about the braking, it is very capable. I have selected the drum variant, so on the both wheel drum brakes are placed. Hence, using them I can fully control my bike during any situation. As this bike is in break-in period I haven’t tried to check the top speed yet, but till now I got 55 KM/H speed. Before I conclude I want to provide some suggestions for other riders,
- To get better mileage always try to ride within 40-60 KM/H speed
- Check the tire pressure always, because of that fuel cost goes higher
- Main a stretched chain, excess slack chain will cost you more fuel
- Always try to ride releasing the clutch leaver because it also increase the fuel cost
