Due to my job purpose I live in Dhaka and my village home is in Pabna. My father is a banker but he goes to his office every day on normal public transport and when I go home I have to go on public transport in the same way. So both of us thought that if we keep a motorcycle in our home, both of us would be comfortable to move around. In that case, because of the purpose of normal movement, I opted for bikes in the commuter segment. My father left this decision to me totally, so I went to the Bajaj showroom and bought the Discover 125, one of the best models in their commuter segment.
It has been almost 21 months since I bought the motorcycle. At the time of purchase, although the intention was to use it for our both needs, but my father could not give up his old habit. He still rides on public transport so this motorcycle is used more when I go home. So far my bike has run only 5500 km which is much less according to the time.
The thing that I like best about this bike is that the problem I have found so far is that it is a bit difficult to start the engine in the morning in winter and I have not had any problem with this bike so far.
In terms of mileage, I am currently getting mileage of 55 km per liter, but in this case, it is better to say that I have reduced the mileage a bit for certain reasons. In the beginning I got mileage of about 65 kilometers per liter.
So far my motorcycle has run 40-45 km continuously in one day. Basically, when I go home from Dhaka, that’s the time this motorcycle run on the roads. My father is not interested in riding this motorcycle.
On the other hand, when it comes to maximum speed, I must mention one thing that could have been mentioned in the problem. I tried more than once but could not get up to 100 kilometers per hour on my motorcycle. I have reached a maximum speed of 98 kilometers per hour whereas in the same model I have heard many people have reached a speed of 115 kilometers per hour.
Excluding many more motorcycles in the same segment, why did I choose this Bajaj model? I have liked Bajaj motorcycles for a long time because I have noticed that most of the people, who use bikes for general use, use Bajaj motorcycles. Moreover, Bajaj has been doing business in Bangladesh for a long time with excellent reputation.
If I am thinking of buying a bike after that, I will definitely buy the Bajaj Pulsar Twin Disc model.
