Hero launched three new bikes in Bangladesh

In keeping with its aggressive growth strategy for the Bangladesh market, Hero MotoCorp Ltd, the world’s largest two wheeler manufacturer, yesterday (08-04-2019) launched its three highly popular global brands in the country- the Passion XPRO and Splendor iSmart + motorcycle and the Maestro Edge scooter.



The new two-wheelers have been priced attractively, with the passion XPRO at TK 106990, Splendor iSmart + at TK 101990 and Maestro Edge at TK 129990. All these products will be available at all Hero dealerships across the country from April 10 onwards.

While the passion XPRO and Splendor iSMart + will strengthen Hero’s presence in the 110cc motorcycle segment, the Maestro Edge 110cc is aimed at growing the company’s market share in the scooter segment. With these new products, the company now has a diverse and wide range of product portfolio catering to various customer profiles.

All the new two wheelers have been designed and developed at Hero MotorCorp’s world class R&D centre, the “Centre for Innovation and Technology” (CIT) in the northern Indian city of Jaipur.

Coming on the occasion, Mr. Rajat Bhargava, Head- Global Business, Strategy and performance Transformation, Hero MotoCorp, said- “Bangladesh is a very important global market for us and has been a key growth driver. In keeping with the every growing demand for our range of motorcycles and scooters in the country, we have set-up a world class manufacturing facility here. We have witnessed growth across segments in this market. ‘Passion XPRO’ and ‘Maestro Edge’ which are extremely popular in other parts of the world are going to add to that momentum. We are confident that these products will appeal to the customers here and will fortify the strong presence of brand Hero.”

Hero MotorCorp forayed into Bangladesh in April 2014 and formed a joint venture with Nitol Niloy Group. Hero Products are sold across the country through its network of more than 350 customer touch points. It is also the first motorcycle manufacturer of two wheelers to offer five years warranty on its products. Hero Product range in the country now consists of HF Deluxe, Splendor Plus, Splendor iSmart+, Passion XPRO, Glamour, Ignitor, Acheiver 150 and Hunk 150 motorcycles and Pleasure and Maestro Edge Scooters including newly launched three products. Few descriptions of newly added three products are given bellow.

New 110cc Passion XPRO:
Designed for today’s new generation, the new passion XPRO comes with sharp styling, faster 110cc engine and array of best-in-class features thereby providing an unmatched riding experience to the customer. It has 110cc TOD (Torque on Demand) engine producing a maximum power output of 7.0 kW (9.4 PS) @7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9.0 Nm @550 rpm. This motorcycle also features with Hero’s i3S (Idle-stop-start system). The bike races from 0-60 KM/H in 7.45 seconds and the fuel efficiency and emissions go hand in hand with the higher power of the motorcycle. This bike is be available in three different exciting color schemes- Black with Red stripes, Techno Blue Metallic and sports Red.

The Maestro Edge:
The all new 110cc Maestro Edge is a premium scooter making a bold statement with its dynamic and highly attractive features pack.

The Hero Maestro Egde offers optimum performance with an 110cc air cooled, 4 stroke single cylinders OHC engine, producing a maximum power output of 6 kW (8PS) @7500 rpm and maximum torque of 8.7 NM @ 5500 rpm. This stylish scooter comes with unique features, such as Mobile Charging Port & Boot lamp, External Fuel Filling, Integrated Braking, Remote Seat and Fuel Lid Opening, Digital- Analog Speedometer with Side Stand indicator and Twin LED Tail Lamp ETC. Hero Maestro Edge comes in two exciting colors- Candy Blazing RED and Matte Blue.

The Splendor iSmart +:
Targeted at young professionals, the new Splendor iSmart + ticks all the right boxes with its best in class performance and stability. This is an addition to the trust, reliability and fuel efficiency that are distinct to the Splendor Brand. The powerful commuter comes with 110cc air cooled, 4 stroke single cylinders OHC engine TOD (Torque on Demand) engine that also features the highly efficient and proven Hero i3S technology. It produces maximum power output of 6.7 kW (9.1PS) @7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9 NM @ 5500 rpm. This stylish motorcycle comes packed with a host of utility and comfort features, such as AHO headlamp, Digital- Analog meter and side stand indicator. Stylish new graphics and split grab rail add to the appeal of the motorcycle. This motorcycle is available in three color variants- Techno Blue Metallic, Black Sports Red and Sports RED.
