Yamaha Saluto SE 10000km riding experience by Rafikul Islam
For my daily living I do a job, and that is under the department of Sales and marketing. Most of us have an idea about this job and how much they have to travel. Consequently, same goes for me as well. For my regular needs I was searching for a well performing bike, which also provides better mileage. I started looking for it on internet and asked others for their opinion. Combining all, I bought Yamaha Saluto one year back. Most interestingly, I have ridden around 100000 kilometers within this one year only. Not only for my job purpose, but also for my regular need and my hobby of bike riding. A long time ride with Saluto gave me a good knowledge about this bike and today I would like to share them with you all through motorcycle valley.
Let me be specific, I would like to share the bad things first:
-This bike comes with a poor quality Headlamp.
-Front part of this bike, like the Headlamp and meter panel set up is not attached with the body perfectly I think. They starts trembling when I ride on high speed. I think it requires better build quality and combination with the body frame.
-Fuel indicator has problems. Sometimes the meter shows low fuel, though I have a tanker full of Fuel. I tried several times, but I wasn’t able to fix this problem.
-After a long ride engine sound doesn’t remain the same. Even it starts changing in the middle of the journey.
Now, let me tell you guys the good sides I found:
-This bike has an effective suspension system, both are very smooth and well performing
-Powerful engine performance and good throttle response
-Effective braking, which makes the controlling better. I can easily control my bike anywhere I want.
-Powerful electrical backup, but poor in build quality.
-Comfortable enough for long journeys.
In one day I travelled 350 KM+ with my bike and I never felt any tiredness, or pain in my back. One thing I found with the engine that I already mentioned, the sound changing issue. I am getting 50 KM/L mileage at the city roads and 55 KM/L mileage at the highways, but I was informed it will provide more than that. So, I am not totally satisfied with the mileage. As I mentioned, powerful engine and good acceleration, which is why I am getting perfect speed for the city and highways.
Overall this bike is a good package to buy, but the mileage and build quality needs improvement that I must say.
