Yamaha R15 V3 Monster Energy 11000km riding experiences by Imtiaj Shuvo

I started my bike riding journey with Honda CD 80. My father was my instructor and he didn’t let me to have a bike until he thinks I am able ride on the highways. After I completed my collage life I started to ride bike regularly. I have a great fascination over bike and specially sports type bikes. Honda CBR become my first choice when I saw the version 2. I made my mind to have that bike, but for some problems I couldn’t manage. By this time my bicycle was my only friend, which supported me a lot. Whatever, a few years passed away and the Yamaha Version 3 just arrived. After I saw this bike and have a test ride I made my mind I will buy this bike. I got a job and my family gave me permission to buy this beast, so I went for the showroom. Firstly, I was thinking to buy the Movistar edition, but I was not that much fortunate to have, and I was informed from the showroom that monster edition is coming. So, again I waited for a while and the very first day it arrived at the local market of Rajshahi I become the 2nd customer. This was my story behind having the R15 V3 monster edition. Okay, enough of storytelling, let me tell you about the performances about this bike. I am riding this bike for one year and almost 11000 kilometers riding gave me some experiences to talk about.

Let me start with the good sides of this bike:

-First things first, the design and overall outlook of this bike has a premium feeling that no other bike can provide in Bangladesh.
-R15 V3 is known as speed king, and it really is. I really like the acceleration of this bike and it is very smooth as well. Till now I experienced 140 KM/H speed with my bike and it can be accelerated more.
-Because of the Fi engine I am getting 45+ mileage at the city road and 50+ mileage at the highways. I never expected this kind of mileage from a sports category motorcycle.
-Overall engine performance is perfect, no lack of power, smooth sound and no vibration makes the engine perfect for riding. I am personally enjoying my rides.
-At the very beginning this was takes some time to adjust with the ride. Because of the sporty posture it may look like uncomfortable bike, but after riding for a few weeks only this bike will be a comfortable bike for any rider. Same thing happened to me as well.

A few things I didn’t like about this bike:

-I think the Headlamp power is not perfect, I feel like I am literally a new rider when I ride on night. I expected more from the headlight.
-The chain set of this bike is very annoying and comes with high maintenance. Cost is not the matter of fact, I have to spend a lot time for the chain set. It requires cleaning after and proper maintenance within a very short time.

However, this bike has all the required feature that a rider will search in a sports bike. I am highly pleased with this bike and never expected I will have this type of mileage from this bike. As I am a service holder I don’t have that time go for a long ride, but for one to two months I have to travel for 80-90 kilometers every day. On that time Iwas as really comfortable and I enjoyed every single features performance as well.
