Honda Hornet 2.0 user review by Gaziur Rahman

I’ve been riding my Hornet 2.0 for about 14 months, covering nearly 12,000 kilometers. I believe this is enough time to truly understand and get to know a motorcycle.
Before the Hornet, I used to ride a Suzuki Gixxer Monotone. When I decided to switch bikes, I noticed that there was a growing hype for higher-cc motorcycles in Bangladesh. With so many brands and models available in the market, I started looking for the best bike that would suit me and fit my budget.
Considering brand value, looks, price, and features, I personally felt that there was no real competitor to the Hornet 2.0 in the market. So, after careful consideration, I decided to buy it.
As I mentioned earlier, I’ve ridden around 12,000 km in these 14 months, and now I’d like to share with you the good and bad sides of this bike based on my experience.

Some Positive sides of this bike:
The look of this bike is simply amazing, muscular and very attractive.
The engine power is impressive, especially noticeable during overtaking.
Thanks to the USD suspension, the bike offers great handling and feedback.
The mileage is also worth mentioning: I get around 45 km/L in the city and 48 km/L on the highway.
The maintenance cost is comparatively lower than many other bikes in this segment.
Things That Could Be Improved:
The headlight brightness is quite low, making night rides difficult.
The rear suspension doesn’t feel very comfortable to me.
I think dual-channel ABS should have been included, even if it meant a slightly higher price.
The build quality could be improved a bit more.



I once rode around 200 km in a single day, and during that ride, I reached a top speed of 119 km/h. Even at that speed, the bike felt smooth and stable.
Final Thoughts:
If you’re someone who doesn’t want to compromise on looks and features, wants to enjoy the feel of a higher-cc bike within a reasonable budget, and still cares about mileage, then the Hornet 2.0 can be one of the best options for you.
