Electric bikes, or e-bikes, have gained global popularity as a solution to high fuel costs and harmful environmental pollution. At this pivotal moment, Chinese manufacturer TAILG has established a strong presence in the global market by producing modern e-bikes capable of covering long distances.


Founded in 2003 in Shenzhen, China, with the goal of ensuring a superior travel experience, TAILG introduced its first high-performance electric vehicle in 2005. This model earned the European Union’s CE certification and was recognized as a “High-Tech Project of Shenzhen.”





In a remarkably short time, the company has left its mark across the globe with its technological prowess. Beyond manufacturing electric vehicles, TAILG is committed to promoting sustainable travel and an eco-friendly green lifestyle, working as a partner of the United Nations Environment Programme. By partnering with Bangladesh’s Edison Group, the brand has also strengthened its presence in the South Asian market.


One of the biggest concerns for riders on long journeys is battery life. To address this, the company equips its vehicles with advanced battery technology that ensures an extended range. In 2023, TAILG’s Chitu model traveled through 181 cities over four months, covering a total of 31,516 kilometers — earning a place in the Guinness World Records for the longest electric scooter journey in the world. Earlier, in 2020, the same model set another record by traveling 656 kilometers on a single charge.


The company has also set a new milestone in fuel efficiency. TAILG’s electric motorcycles cost only 0.15 BDT per kilometer to operate — 97% less than conventional motorcycles.
It’s not only in innovation and technological achievements that the company stands out — commercially, it has set remarkable records as well. In August 2023 alone, TAILG sold one million e-bikes. With nine production plants, the company’s manufacturing capacity averages 33,000 units per day, meaning a new vehicle rolls off the line every 2.6 seconds.
