Electric motorcycles are one of the most enjoyable vehicles. People of every ages can ride this bikes easily and enjoy the ride. The early history of electric motorcycles is not so clear. But from past information, electric bike was first introduced at 1911. At 1919 Ransomes, sims and jefferie made a demo electric motorcycle in which the batteries were fitted under the seat of the electric bike. Without any trail this electric bike got the road permission since then electric bikes journey had began. Nowadays different types of electric bikes are available at the market across the whole world.

One of the most populated countries like Bangladesh electric bikes has many advantages. So many different companies of different countries manufacture these electric bikes and export them to our country. Lets have a discussion about these electric bikes in Bangladesh bellow the lines.

With the combination between rechargeable battery and electric motors electric bikes are made. Electric bikes are also known as E- bikes. These electric bikes do not need any kind of fuel. Electric bikes can go 60 to 100 KM per charge which is not so bad at all. These electric bikes can be charged at any electrical out-late and these bikes need 6 to 7 hours to charge their battery depending on battery type and capacity.

Many motorcycle manufacturing companies of different countries manufacture electric bikes. They also exports electric bikes to our country along with the others. There are some Bangladeshi companies who import these electric bikes and sells these bikes at our local market. Among them My Choice, Green Tigers and Green Wheels are included. These company imports electric bikes from different countries and brings these bikes at the market in reasonable price. Only MOTRAC is a Chinese company who exports their electric bikes directly to our country and their motorcycles are much popular at our country. Showrooms of these companies are available almost in every cities of our country. Only the MOTRAC showrooms can be found at Dhaka.

Types of electric motorcycles
Here types of electric motorcycle means variation or category of electric bikes. There are some types or category of electric bikes which are available in our country. They are scooter type electric bike, general motorcycle type electric bikes and bicycle type electric bike. For example we can see My Choice E-bike is much similar to general motorcycles but it is an electric bike. Disadvantages of electric motorcycles
Disadvantages of electric motorcycles are not so many. Among them some are given ,
1. These bikes can not run without charging their battery. So if load-shedding occurs these motorbikes can not be used.
2. Electric motorcycles can not carry heavy weight like other fuel based motorcycles.
3. Body parts and well trained technician of these electric motorcycles are not available in our country.
4. After a certain time battery Backup of these motorcycles will no longer exists. At that type of situation these motorcycles will become burden for the riders.
