GPX Demon GR250R Features Review

GPX Demon is a popular sports bike series from the Thai motorcycle brand GPX (Grand Prix Motor Co. Ltd.). GPX was founded in 2007 in Thailand, and in 2015, they launched the “GPX Demon” series. Despite having smaller engine capacities, the series quickly became popular among young riders due to its aggressive sports bike looks and stylish design.

The Demon GR165R is currently the most talked-about model in the GPX lineup. In Bangladesh, the Demon series has created a stylish and budget-friendly option for young sports bike enthusiasts. Recently, GPX has introduced a new 250cc bike in the country, and today we will discuss its features and specifications.


Design
This bike is basically known for its full faired body, modern design and aerodynamic shape. Looking at the design, it can be seen that the full faired body, dual LED headlights, slim and sharp front cowl, TFT display and split clip-on handlebar, puffed fuel tank and split seat, all of which make the design of the bike stand out very well. In terms of design, it can be said that this GPX Demon GR250R bike has one of the best designs in the 250 cc segment in the Bangladesh market.


Dimensions
Looking at the dimensions, it can be seen that the bike is 2,020 mm in length, 747 mm in width, and 1,145 mm in height. Meanwhile, the ground clearance is 159 mm, which helps in riding on all roads. The wheelbase is about 1,350 mm, which ensures balance and stability. The seat height is 815 mm, which is easy to reach for most riders, but can be a bit challenging for riders of very short height. The total weight of the bike is 158 kg. The fuel tank holds 11 liters, which is enough for daily rides or medium distances.


Engine
GPX has brought their 250 cc engine-powered bike to the market for the first time in the Bangladesh market. The engine of this GPX Demon GR250R bike has a 249 cc liquid-cooled 4 valve engine that can produce max power 29 BHP @ 9,500 RPM and max torque 23 Nm @ 7,500 RPM. The fuel system has the latest technology EFI technology. The engine features also include a 6-speed gear box system, electric start option. It is expected that the engine of this bike will provide good support in the Bangladesh market.


Braking and Suspension
The GPX Demon GR250R uses a single disc braking system with a size of 276mm radial calipers at the front and a single disc braking system with a disc size of about 220mm at the rear. The special features on the braking side are the dual channel ABS braking system which will make driving on the road safer. The special features of the GPX Demon GR250R include a traction control system which helps in reducing braking and brake-overstability which gives additional stability.





The GPX Demon GR250R has an upside down suspension at the front that provides good stability and cornering performance, reduces vibration at high speeds, and gives a sporty and premium bike feel, while the rear has a 7-step adjustable monoshock suspension that maintains balance and comfort, suitable for both single riders and pillion riders. The suspension is effective even on irregular roads. It is expected that this suspension will give good performance on Bangladeshi roads.


Tires
They have paid special attention to the GPX Demon GR250R tires, thinking about the safety of the rider. They have used 100/70-17 section tires at the front and 150/60-17 section tires at the rear. These tires are tubeless radial structures, which makes them quite suitable for high speed and ride comfort. It is expected that these tires will give good performance on Bangladeshi roads.


Electrical and Meter Console
The company has paid special attention to the electrical and meter console and has tried to update it. The electrical side of this GPX Demon GR250R bike has a 12V, 5Ah maintenance-free battery, electric start option, full LED headlight which will make night riding easier.



Meanwhile, the meter console has a TFT meter console (TFT) which has all the necessary features of a rider such as speedometer and tachometer, gear indicator, fuel gauge, trip meter (with computer), clock and bike temperature, ABS indicator and service reminder. That is, the bike's features have been completely completed in this aspect.

Finally, the GPX Demon GR250R bike is the first bike GPX has brought to the Bangladesh market in their 250 cc segment and has put beautiful features with this bike which is capable of providing very good support to a rider.
