At present we are in passing into cold weather, many people think that it is better to use heavy or light engine oil in winter, and many unskilled mechanics in village or remote areas give such ideas, but in reality, nothing like this is said by the brand, as per research the bike manufacturer brand does all kinds of research while making their engine, then they decide a specific grade of engine oil is determined for their bike.
If the company uses the specified grade of engine oil, it will perform well in all types of weather in your country, but in some cases, it may cause minor inconvenience, as like:
• you might see some problems arise when riding the bike at high speed or continuously for a long time in excessive heat, such as the engine sound of the bike may change.
• Friction may increase in the engine, if the density of the engine oil decreases, the engine overheats and problems may arise in the engine, such as power loss.
• cold makes it difficult to start the bike's engine, especially in carburetor bikes, this problem is more common, in this case, what you can do is, you can make your bike's IDOL RPM 1500 or a little more, in this way the bike will not turn off after starting.
• In addition, the first start kick should be given in the morning on a winter day, if you start the first start shelf, then the battery of the bike may be stressed, in the case of FI bikes, the problem is not serious.
• After starting the bike, it is recommended to stand for some time and not rev the bike high until the engine oil rises to the engine head.
• Engine oil grade "10W40" Here, instead of the number before W, i.e., 10W40, you can use 20W40, but refrain from using engine oil of a grade lower or higher than the company recommended grade.
Since it doesn't get very cold in our country, there's nothing special about using engine oil, but if you follow our advice, your engine will last longer and you'll get better performance from your bike in both summer and winter.
