Logical Fee will be imposed to register a Motorcycle – Minister of Industries

To enrich the foreign invest directly on the Motorcycle industry and to balance with the neighbor countries there will be a change on fees on the Registration of the motorcycles and this whole process will be done in the hands of Ministry of Industries. To reconsider this matter by comparing with reality, Ministry of Industry will send the proposal to associated ministry and Organization.

Today a meeting held through the virtual communication with Honda Private Limited and these all words shared by Minister of Industry.

In that meeting welcome speech delivered by “Himihiko Katsuki” Honorable managing director and CEO of Honda Private Limited. Later “MR. Shah Muhammad Ashekur Rahman FCA” Honorable Head of Finance and Commercial of Honda Private Limited represent the light future and the problems of Motorcycles Industry in Bangladesh.

There was also present “MD. Rais Uddin” chairman of Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC), “Eng. Muhammad Ashikur Rahman” Director of BSEC, “MR. Jamal Abu Naser Chowdhury” Formar Additional Secretary and the Advisor of Honda Private Limited and higher officials of Ministry of Industries.

On the following meeting there was a key topic which upholded by the officials of Honda and that is the problems to enrich the motorcycle industry in Bangladesh and they also suggest some steps to overcome those red marks. These are the common suggestion from the Honda Private limited to the Minister of Industries: Logical Registration Fee, Strong rules and regulation over Customs fee and Tax to attract the foreign investment, for advancement of this industry review over the law of NBR SRO155 should be changed and some renewal of this law, A roadmap of Backward Linkage and with the help of Bangladesh Bank retail finance for the motorcycle customers and so on.

On the question of Logical fee of motorcycle registration Minister of Industry said: “We already have prepared “Industry Development Policy 2018” by which we are working to manage the registration fee just according to the amount that our neighbor country often imposed. I hope this will be done in a short time. He also said that the Roadmap of Backward Linkage Industry will be started recently as well”. source-bhorerkagoj
