A three-day motorbike show styled ‘Dhaka Motorbike Show 2013’ is going to kicked off in the capital.
Bangladesh Event Management Service (BDEMS) in association with Bangladesh Automobiles Assembles and Manufacturers Association (BAAMA) is going to arrange the programme scheduled to be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre from August 29 next.
Event organiser BDEMS held a press conference in the Daily Star Building in the capital on Tuesday to announce holding of the show.
Addressing the press conference, Sayed Raju Ahmed, Managing Director of BDEMS said that motorcycle, a two-wheeler vehicle, would be a helping hand in reducing traffic tailback and protecting environment from pollution.
With a view to display various dimensions of motorcycle, BDEMS is going to arrange the show, he added.
Though the government has approved motorcycle of 150cc in the road but miscreants showing thumbs to the law enforcing agency are using high capacity motorcycle for using for crimes, he added.
Besides, high-speed in operating motorcycle cause road accidents claiming lives of several riders round the year, he said, adding that the fair in this connection would play vital role.
Sorwan N A Khan, Executive Secretary of BAAMA said that the motorbike show will show the way of environment-friendly use and less fuels consumption.
He also said that dealers, manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors across the country will be invited to attend the fair.
