Yamaha Saluto user review by Shahabudiin Biswash

As renowned and popular motorcycle brand Yamaha is familiar to all. I personally feel that whatever I use it must be from a well reputed brand. I really like Yamaha as a brand and I think they have very stylish products. And because of this reason I choose Yamaha motorcycle for my own without any further thinking.

I am MD. Shahabudiin Biswash and I am a service holder by the profession. Currently I am using Yamaha Saluto 125cc as my personal ride. Mainly I have bought this bike for my completing my office works. Without that people talks about this bike a lot and that makes me think to have it. Before this bike I was using Hero Splendor Plus and the very next one is my new Yamaha Saluto. Though my bike is new in condition but I am a regular bike user and that’s why within very short time I have seen few good and bad sign of this bike which I want to share today.

I like the design and build quality of this bike and its really acceptable. But I individually think if the design gets few more variation then it can easily be separated from the 100cc segments bikes because most of the people consider this bike is a 100 cc bike for its polite design.

After riding this bike I didn’t feel that much comfort because the seating position is little bit higher and at heavy traffic jam this creates problems for short height riders. On the other side seating position of this bike is also wider which is not that much comfortable. Grabbing the handlebar I felt better comfort and switches placed on it are also easy to use and well made.

Headlamp provides great power and that’s why riding at night is comfortable enough for me. Talking about the comfort I will say the seating position of this bike didn’t make me happy. And this thing might be improved as early as possible.

Mostly I travel in the city roads and I have realized that I can control this bike at any kind of roads and conditions. As I said my bike is new so I didn’t tried to speed up the machine that much but I have ridden this bike at 65 KM/H speed and no shaking or extra sound was found. Both brakes are effective and I got good response from them when I need sudden braking. On the other hand I really like the performance of front suspension but the rear suspension couldn’t convince me; it’s really hard and offers low quality type performance. Tyres of this bike provides good road grip and that’s why they don’t skids during rush riding or braking.

At present I am getting the mileage as the company said. I am getting 55 KM/L mileage at present but I think it might be better if the mileage increase little bit more. Overall engine performance is pleasing to me. I know Yamaha didn’t compromise with their products engine quality. After riding for a long time no lack of power or performance from the engine.

Though I didn’t visit the servicing center yet but I heard they provide poor service and they are short of good instruments as well. But I am not telling that it is in real because I personally haven’t seen.

Within these few weeks I have seen some good and bad things of my bike.

Good things about my bike:
- Good acceleration.
- Effective braking.
- Better engine performance.

Bad things of my bike:
- Low mileage.
- Uncomfortable seating position.

After observing its performance, all the sides and quality I think it contains acceptable price and those who want to have this bike can easily buy if they really like this bike.
Thanks to all.
