Yamaha Motorcycles Bangladesh has launched the first Hybrid Motorcycle in the Bangladeshi motorcycle market, which is a much-needed bike in the context of Bangladesh as an alternative fuel vehicle due to the need of the time and the need for it.
A hybrid motorcycle is a vehicle that runs on a combination of a fuel-powered engine and an electric motor, which simultaneously saves fuel and reduces pollution; it runs on electric power at low speeds or in the city and uses a petrol engine to increase speed or on the highway, which simultaneously recharges the battery through regenerative braking.
How a Hybrid Motorcycle works:
• Dual power source: It has a petrol engine and an electric motor, which are controlled by a computer system.
• Automatic mode selection: The system automatically determines when to use only electric power, when only fuel, or when to use both powers together.
• Eco-friendly for the city: At low speeds (such as in traffic), it runs almost silently on the electric motor, thus saving fuel and reducing air pollution.
• Performance for the highway: When high speeds or more power is needed, the petrol engine kicks in.
• Battery charging: The bike cannot be plugged in directly; the battery is charged from the engine and by regenerative braking.
Advantages of Hybrid Motorcycle:
• Improved fuel efficiency: Less fuel consumption.
• Environmentally friendly: Reduces carbon emissions.
• Flexibility: Gives good performance in both the city and the highway.
Typesof Hybrid Motorcycle:
• Series Hybrid: The engine only charges the battery, which powers the motor.
• Parallel Hybrid: Both the engine and the motor can help turn the wheels.
It is hoped that Yamaha's hybrid motorcycle will bring the necessary positive results for everyone, including the performance expected by bike enthusiasts.
