DOHC Engine

Full meaning of DOHC is Double Over Head Cam. DOHC, or Double Over Head Cam, means it has two separate camshafts, one for intake or unused valves and one for exhaust valves. Additionally, SOHC engine and DOHC engine is related with each other and DOHC is better than SOHC. SOHC, or Single Over Head Cam means that it has only one camshaft working both the intake and exhaust valves but on the other side DOHC has two Camshaft for better work that’s why the at the performance DOHC is better then SOHC.
