Shell Long Ride User Review by Maruf

Assalamualikum I’m Mehedi Hasan Maruf Today I’m going to share my using experience of shell long ride fully synthetic engine oil which I have been using from last 4 times and completed more than 8000 kilometers in my Suzuki Gixxer 155 bike, as we all know shell is a well-known international lubricant manufacturing brand, and they are offering a fully synthetic engine oil at a very cheap price, there is no issue related to reliability and I choose the oil for use. Now let’s talk about the using experience about this engine oil.

Pros:

• Shell is offering fully synthetic engine oil at a cheap price and that’s why I’m using it.

• Long ride performance was good so far, but heating issue is been there.

• Throttle response and city ride performance is good also.

• Smoothness has increase after using this engine oil.

• Drain period is also good according to this price.


Cons:

• Price has increase in a month, now this oil is not value for money anymore.

• Shell claim that this oil can run more than 6000 kilometers, but as my experience this oil cannot run more than 2000 kilometers, after that smoothness and viscosity decrease and noise gets from engine.

• Engine get overheat while long ride and gear shifting is also hard.

• This oil also has an oil burning issue and need to top up for using long time; I get 250-300 ml less oil after completed 2000 kilometers run, I have checked my bike engine condition and there is all fine, oil burning issue is there.

• This is fully synthetic engine oil but this oil does not have synthetic qualities like other oils in market, it has a less drain period then other engine oil in market.

So that was my using experience about shell long ride, before that I was using Motul 3000 4T mineral and I switch to this engine oil just because of the value for money pricing from shell, I was expecting more because of a well known brand but this oil has disappointing me for some reason, I would suggest you to not use more than 2000 kilometers and keep check the oil level, I think I will not use this oil anymore, so that was my using experience about shell advance long ride engine oil, I hope this review will help you to make choice about buying this.
