In the general sense, twin means two and disc means the braking system of a motorcycle. In other words, twin discs are two similar braking systems used on motorcycles that help control or reduce speed. Bajaj Companyinvented the term twin disc. Twin disc, on the other hand, can be considered as the double disc. If a motorcycle has double disc braking or two braking on both front and rear wheels, we can call it twin disc. For example, it can be said that the Bajaj Pulsar has twin discs, meaning that Bajaj uses two similar braking systems for this bike, hence the name Twin Disc. |
