When should I change my motorcycle tyre?

Sometimes because of tyre puncture, lack of tyre pressure and for other reason many accidents occurs. In motorcycles tyre section is very sensitive and for many reasons riders must have to be careful about their motorcycle tyres. After certain time tyres need to be changed or it forced to be replaced.
Below you’ll find six reasons for checking whether or not you need to change your tyres.

If the tyre is punctured several times
Every motorcycle tyres are made very strongly and they are capable of survive a lot of impacts, but they may sometimes puncture for several reasons.
If your motorcycle tyre is being punctured, you must have to examine those by a professional mechanic because it can be pictured by many ways such as it can be punctured because of the temperature, any kind of sharp things at the roads etc many more. Only he can make sure that the inner side of the tire has not suffered any damage. If the tyre is damaged from the inner side then it must be replaced.

The tyres show signs of ageing
Several causes may affect the service life of motorcycle tyres such as climatic conditions, being used always, over load, riding at high speed always, maintenance, riding style and many other things. Each of these reasons may cause damage or aging of tyres. So it is very difficult to predict how long a tyre can be used or it will last. It does not depend on their manufacturing date. Tyres which have never been used, or just used occasionally, may show signs of ageing after a certain time.

For all these reasons, mechanics recommend that all riders should regularly spend a few minutes on checking their tyres and it will help to prevent many occurrences.

The legal tread wear limit has been reached
Every tyre contains a legal tread wear limit. Thread wear limit means the depth of tyre bits Once the remaining rubber has damaged down to this level, the tyre has reached its legal wear limit of 1 mm. Every mechanic strongly advises you to change your tyres before reaching this point. Past this point, your safety cannot be guaranteed, nor can grip or performance, particularly on wet surfaces. So it is very important point.

The tyre is damaged
At the concrete roads many things are laid dawn or placed because of many reasons, among them a hole or a blunt object can seriously damage your motorcycles tyre. Any kind of little problem’s can turn into bigger one.
As a general rule, you should be aware that you must never ride on a damaged tyre or one which has been run flat without consulting a professional mechanic. If you do so accidents may occur any time. For preventing the tyre damages you need to be vary concern at your riding period.
