Imagine a world without energy! Without energy production of electricity is not possible and without electricity it is impossible to live. From big industries to the lives of ordinary citizens like us, this energy sector greatly affects. But how much does a common man know about the world's energy sector?
Enrico Mattei, the founder of ENI, felt the need to publish an independent magazine to meet the needs of a global readership on the energy world. In 1955, he launched a magazine called
"Gatto Salvatico" with the famous Italian writer, poet and intellectual
Attilio Bertolucci as its editor, aiming to create an energy-based modern magazine. This magazine was intended to bring to the attention of a common citizen the major events taking place in the world's energy sector. In 10 years of publication, the magazine has published many articles on the relationship between energy and world politics.
Then in 2008 ENI launched a quarterly tabloid magazine called
"ENI "Oil Magazine". Renamed in 2017, it is now published as
WE: World Energy. The magazine features exclusive interviews with researchers on environmental sustainability, digitalisation, security, new technology innovations and researchers in the global energy sector.
World Energy's archive includes more than 230 interviews, more than 400 articles and over 700 maps and info graphics. Due to the scope of such a large number of resources, this magazine has been able to gain a reputation on the international stage as an energy sector related media.
