There are 3 kinds of engine oil available in market, Mineral, semi-synthetic, synthetic. The classification is depends on their quality and manufacturing procedure. Today we are talking about classifications of engine oils.
Mineral: Mineral engine oil is a refine version of crude oil. The crude oil refines in the oil refinery then added some additives to complete the final process, then it’s ready to use. It’s less costly than other engine oil and has a short drain period.
• Mineral engine oil are affordable to everyone and that’s why its usable to commuter bikes, its short drain period.
• To maintain break-in-period mineral engine oil is much usable, because you have to drain oil within a short duration, and it can be uses regularly in lower cc bikes.
• You can use mineral engine oil from beginning to 5000 kilometers, then you can switch to semi synthetic oil, and then you can switch to synthetic oil permanently.
Semi synthetic:

semi-synthetic is better than mineral oil and lasts long, price is slightly high than mineral oil. There is 70% mineral engine oil and 30% synthetic engine oil, that’s why it performs better than mineral engine oil.
• Semi-synthetic oil can be used in 110cc up to higher cc bikes, it perform better than mineral engine oil, and cost a few more than mineral engine oil
Synthetic: synthetic oil is fully man made artificial engine oil made of different comical, which makes it perform better than any other engine oil of market. It’s much costly than mineral and semi-synthetic engine oil.
• Synthetic oil can use from 150 cc to super bikes. It’s suitable for sports and premium bikes and cost more than mineral and semi-synthetic oil.
You can use one of them regularly as like many of us uses mineral engine oil from beginning to now, many of switch to semi synthetic and synthetic. Maintain the engine oil grade and you can use any of these oils.
