Idemitsu Company used to sell lubricating oils for Nippon Oil, Japan.This company formerly known as Idemitsu& Co. (IdemitsuShōkai) was founded by SazōIdemitsu in Moji city of northern Kyushu, Japan in 1911. After ENEOS CorporationIdemitsu now is the second-largest petroleum refiner in Japan. MR. SazōIdemitsu expanded the sales of fuel oil to the fishing boats in Shimonoseki city and later he supplied lubricant to the South Manchuria Railway, and that was to turning point of Idemitsu.
Idemitsuachieved great successes in the domestic market, consequently this company expanded its business to Manchuria (China) in 1914. There the Japanese-owned South Manchuria Railroad Co. Ltd. was the major customer of the supplied lubricant. Therefore, Idemitsu opened a branch there in Dalian, northeast China, and attempted to cover the Chinese market. As a result the company extended throughout northern China and entered into Korea and Taiwan. At present, Idemitsu is operating its businesses activities globally through its various business projects rolling in many countries in the world.The company maintains oil extraction, refinery, and shipping businesses therefore engaged in the production of Oil, Petroleum, Petrochemical, Fuel, lubricant, and industrial specialty products.In lubricant products, Idemitsu has a wide variety of automotive, marine, and industrial lubricants.
