DOT: Department of transportation which is an USA helmet certification organization, they tested impact test, roll of test, chain bar test, height test, and retension test to certify a DOT certify helmet, now a days most of helmets brands use a DOT certification, as like MT, Axxis, Axor, HJC, and others.
ECE: Economic Commission for Europe, Now a Days ECE is one of the mostly used certification in helmets, they test a helmet in many situation impact test, chain bar test, Deformation Test, Abrasion Test, from entry budget to flagship helmet, ECE certification is almost in every helmet, but mostly, Yohe, KYT, AXOR, MT, AXXIS, shark, AGV, any many other brand use a ECE certification in their helmets.

It has to be tested In many situation just like, impact test, roll of test( Edge) chin bar test (oval) crash test ( hemispherical), height test (Flat), Retension Test( 22.7..30 sec) ( 136. … 120 sec) , snell certification is mostly used in higher budget or a flagship helmet, just like AGV, SHOEI, ARAI.
Sharp: Safety Helmet Assessment and rating Program is a certification from UK, usually sharp rating helmets are much expensive and costly and a few helmet brands have sharp rating, because they have to pass all these test including impact test, chin bar test, deformation test, abrasion test, we got sharp rating in MT, Nolan, X-lite.
ISI: Indian Standard Institution is a certification from India, for the local helmet manufacturer to ensure their helmet quality and the helmet is safe enough for Indian roads or not, they tested in a few way which is similar to ECE helmets, but ISI helmets are budget friendly and cost lower than any other certification helmets, ISI certification mostly used in Steel bird, Torq, Studs and many other local brands.
FIM: FÉDÉRATION INTERNATIONALE DE MOTOCYCLISME (FIM) is a new European safety certification for Motorcycle Racing that is harder to pass than the usual ECE tests. FIM only tests full-face helmets and emphasizes a helmet's resistance to rotational forces, which may account for most injuries, FIM certification is used in Shark Helmets.
