Vemar was formed back in 1975 in Grosseto in the central Italian region of Tuscany. This company was basically involved in the businesses of wine and olive oil and it used to yield fiberglass tanks to sphere wine, olive oil for its own use as well for the customers. In 1987 Riccardo Simoni, one of the business partners in Vemar established a distinct wing Vemar Helmet Department based on his decade of experience in fiberglass and composite material works. He started manufacturing motorcycle helmets with fiberglass and composite material under the concern and later in 1992 Simoni acquired the helmet division as his own company. Thus Vemar Helmets formed as an independent individual concern.
Vemar Helmet Company focused on further development and diversification. It also started manufacturing helmets and other components as OEM manufacturers for other renowned brands. Consequently, it earned experience and expertise working for the market leaders. Accordingly, Vemar focused and developed its own R&D capability and intended its own branded helmet product line. Vemar helmets are included with wearer-friendly features. Those are light-weighted, comfortable, and ensure maximum possible safety according to helmet type, product range, and added features. All the Vemar helmets are tested in its Italian technical laboratory for ensuring quality. In addition, Vemar helmets are also skilled by third-party testing at the Los Angeles based test laboratory of Collision and Injury Dynamics, Inc. for US markets.
