Takyon’s electric bike is the first-ever e-bike in Bangladesh that got BRTA approval. Takyon e-bikes can also be registered with BRTA for 2 or 10 years and the registration cost of these e-bikes is said to be much less than that of gasoline bikes. The 1.5 kW brushless DC motor in the Takyon electric bike is a strong motor. It uses a brand-new 1.6 kwh graphene-based battery. Up to 70 kilometres can be covered by the bike on a single charge. The bike's top speed is 50 kilometers per hour. The new technology is environmentally safe and the battery based on graphene has 600–800 cycles and can easily last three years. The portable charger for the e-bike can be powered by the house's 220 volt power line. The e-bike has tubeless tires and hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels.
These e-bikes also have LCD speedometers and LED lighting. In general, a 100 CC conventional bike can travel 50-60 kilometers on 1 liter of fuel. According to Takyon, this bike will cost only 10-15 paisa per kilometer. The fuel-powered bikes produce noise and pollution, whereas the e-bikes produce no noise or pollution. Customers can purchase this eco-friendly e-bike from any Walton showroom across the country, as well as from Walton Digi-online Tech's sales platform. Takyon e-bike customers will receive free after-sales service from Walton service centers across the country for up to two years.
