Hero MotoCorp E Scooter coming in this March

Hero MotoCorp has been the world's largest two-wheeler maker for over 20 years. Just as Toyota is an irresistible name in the world of four-wheelers in the country, so over time, Hero MotoCorp has been consolidating its position in the world of two-wheelers. They have been making oil-powered motorcycle-scooters with skill and reputation for so long. However, the company has already started preparing well to avoid those risks easily in the future when the general fuel car market will start to tighten. Hero MotoCorp's much awaited electric scooter (EV) is set to hit the Indian market this month, March.

Hero MotoCorp said in a press release in November last year that work was underway to launch the e-scooter by March 2022. Niranjan Gupta, the company's chief financial officer (CFO), reiterated that Hero was committed to keeping that promise. He said Hero MotoCorp is ready to launch their first electric scooter in March.

Commenting on the company's launch of electric vehicles, Gupta said, "Hero MotoCorp will bring electric two-wheelers in all segments at the end of the day - a cheap, middle-income customer for the average consumer. Our goal is not exclusive to one class. Giving away the keys of cheap e-scooters to every citizen. Detailed information will be provided at the right time. ”

Incidentally, in August last year, Hero MotoCorp gave an idea about the outlook of the company's first e-scooter. In 2011, Hero became self-sufficient after parting ways with its long-running partner Honda for more than two decades. The company's electric scooter (prototype) was seen for the first time at the end of a virtual event on its tenth anniversary. "

It has already been clarified that the e-scooter will be manufactured from Chittoor factory in Andhra Pradesh. Bajaj and TVS, the main rivals of Hero in the domestic market, have already started making their way into the market for such vehicles. On the other hand, Honda is planning to launch the hugely popular Honda Activa-electric version in the Indian market. Suzuki has also begun experimenting with battery-powered models of their burgman maxi-scooters. In other words, Hero MotoCorp is already preparing for the future. They want to maintain their position even in the age of electric powertrain like internal combustion engine.

Due to the shortage of charging stations, many buyers are reluctant to use electric vehicles. They have recently signed an agreement with Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) in advance to ensure that the lack of charging stations does not hamper the purchase of Hero MotoCorp electric scooters.

However, Hero MotoCorp has already invested in Taiwanese company (Gogor o) to open a battery replacement station to save users time, not just charging stations. The two companies will work side by side to create a conducive environment for electric vehicles. In the future, Hero MotoCorp's e-scooters will be integrated with Gogoro's state-of-the-art technology.

It is to be noted that various quarters have claimed that Hero MotoCorp will bring electric vehicles under the new sub-brand due to similarity of name with Hero Electric and to avoid legal issues in this regard. In the meantime, they have registered for a total of six names of subsidiaries. Each of these names begins with Vida - Vida Electric, Vida EV, Vida Mobility, Vida Mobility, Vida MotoCorp, Vida Motocycle, and Vida Scooter.
