Yamaha M-SLAZ 150 Vs Honda CBR 150

Nowadays people of every ages who knows to drive a motorcycle are using this popular vehicle because of its stylish looks, durability and user friendly price. Different companies are representing their motorcycles for the riders. In Bangladesh different categories and segments of motorcycles are now also available from different Brands. At the motorcycle market two big names will be found as a popular brand and they are Yamaha Motor Company Limited and Honda Motor Co. Ltd. These two Japanese motorcycle companies produce high class motorcycles for the bike riders. There are different categories and segments of motorcycles which these two company offers to the local market. For Bangladeshi motorcycle lovers they also imports stylish and configured motorcycles. In those motorcycle there are two stylish motorcycles are very popular to the young riders and they are Yamaha M-SLAZ 150 and Honda CBR 150. Between these two motorcycles Yamaha M-SLAZ is one of the newest creations from Yamaha. Both these motorcycles from different companies are made with sporty outlooks and good features. But sometimes riders became puzzled about these motorbikes, because they can’t decide which one is better to use. Actually it depends on the rider’s choice but sometimes it also depends on the motorbikes features. Now from bellow the   line let’s compare their features from different sides which will be helpful for the riders to decide which better for using.

Looks:

At the outlooks some riders thinks M-SLAZ is the necked version of Yamaha R15. So they thought its best and some riders say CBR is best. Honda CBR is made with decent outlooks, on the other hand outlooks of M-SLAZ is aggressive and uncommonly designed. That’s why some riders give priority to the outlooks of M-SLAZ but it can be said CBR 150R is also very stylish and loved by all. Both these motorcycles contain good sheds or colors and all are very attractive. Color combination of Honda CBR is well accepted by every rider.

Dimension and Control:

Dimension and control are related with each other and keeping that in mind both motorcycles are well designed for the controlling from their very own company and that’s why their controlling is much similar. At the dimension M-SLAZ has 1955mm length, 795mm width and 1065mm height. Without good dimension it has good ground clearance of 164mm and wheel base of 1350mm. On the other hand CBR has 2000mm length, 825mm width and 1120mm height. This bike also has wheelbase of 1305mm and ground clearance of 190mm. Kerb weight of M-SLAZ is 135 KG and CBR is 138 KG. On the basis of personal experience of few user said with this type of dimension M-SLAZ gives good controlling than the CBR 150R. But the cornering of CBR 150R is better than M-SLAZ because of its good ground clearance and wheelbase. So both are good at controlling few differences can be found among them.

Comfort:

At the comfortness both motorcycles are almost the same. Sitting position of M-SLAZ is little bit sporty then CBR. On the other side sitting place of CBR 150R is much comfortable and this sitting place will help the riders to have amazing journey at the long drive which M-SLAZ can not provide. With rider pillion driving will be much easier at CBR 150R than R-15 because the pillion seat of R-15 is not so comfortable at all. So we can say at the sort distance R-15 is good but at the long ride CBR 150R is Better.

Engine and performance:

Both Yamaha and Honda company does not make any negotiation at this side with their products. That’s why engine side of these two motorcycles is very satisfactorily made and without any doubt their performance are very well. Yamaha M-SLAZ has 149cc 4-stroke, single cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve engine. This engine can produce 16.8 Bhp @ 8500 rpm max power and 15 Nm @ 7500 rpm Max torque. If we talk about the performance, this bike can reach the speed of 0-100 at 8-10 seconds. On the other side CBR 150R has 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC 150cc engine with 13.1 KW @10500rpm max power and 12.66Nm @ 8500rpm max torque. As we can see this engine is able to create good power so the performance is undoubtedly well. At short distance sometimes M-SLAZ can bit CBR but because of its better torque but at the long distance Honda CBR is much better than M-SLAZ. So we can say both engines are absolutely well made are able to give superior performance.

Top Speed and Mileage:

Top speed and Mileage both is very important for a 150cc motorcycle. When we talk about sports category motorcycles the top speed might have to be good and at this side both Yamaha and Honda has give their level best. As a 150cc motorcycle top speed of Yamaha M-SLAZ 150 is near about 130 KM/H. with this type of speed this bike can give a mileage of 40KM/L so we can say both the top speed and mileage of this stylish bike is not so bad at all. On the other side CBR is speed king because this bike can give 160KM/H top speed and mileage of 30 KM/L.

Braking and Suspensions:

Braking of both this bike is really astonishing but braking method of M-SLAZ is little bit better then CBR because M-SLAZ contains both side Disc brakes which are really well. Other hand CBR has the combination of Disc and Drum brakes. At the suspensions both are perfect. M-SLAZ has Telescopic upside down suspensions at the front and Swing arm, Monosock suspension at the rear side. On the other side CBR also contains same configured suspensions like M-SLAZ.

So at last we can say from the above information both bikes are completely well made by Yamaha and Honda and both are best at the 150cc segment. Because M-SLAZ is newest edition from Yamaha that’s why the attraction is high but the popularity range of CBR not so bad at all. Now it is up to the riders to decide which one is suitable for themselves.
